Comets

I first learned about comets when I was told about Halley’s Comet as a child. I was told that it was the most famous comet and that it only passed by earth once in a while. I was fascinated by comets as a child and I still am, even though now I’m a middle-aged man.

The next comet that caught my attention was the Shoemaker-Levy comet. This was the comet that broke into pieces and crashed into Jupiter. How awesome is that? Hale-Bopp was another famous comet that caused religious cult members to kill themselves.

There are many other comets besides the ones that I have mentioned. For anyone who has an interest in astronomy, I highly recommend studying comets.
